Cosmoprof Awards, we’re in the final! Our new pencil, Essential, is a finalist for Cosmopack Awards – Sustainability. It’s our first entry and the first wooden pencil to participate in the Cosmoprof Awards. We’re thrilled to announce it, especially since Essential combines our ability to innovate with the current market demands.
Essential, the latest addition to Confalonieri lines, is the culmination of a 10-years development. Let’s see how.
Made of wood… and more
Essential is a wooden pencil, like all our lines. We use exclusively PEFC certified wood: for every felled tree, another one is planted or allowed to regrow.
We didn’t stop there: for Essential we’re using new water-based BIO paints, derived from refined “waste” vegetable substances. As a result, these pencils have a smaller environmental impact and a lower carbon footprint. The cap is made of Bio Base Compostable eco material and we’ve eliminated all non-essential packaging: a way to cut emissions and energy consumption.
The formula
Essential is an ultra-black eye pencil, a timeless classic. The formula is certified by Cosmos Organic, entirely palm oil free, with a very high percentage of pigment that gives an excellent coverage. Essential allows to create a safe and versatile make-up: it’s precise, temperature resistant and super-blendable. This pencil is ideal for every kind of make-up, plain or hyper-creative: it respects the skin and guarantees a sharp stroke in every condition.
