On the eyes: movie stars, colours and grunge inspiration
The eye makeup for the next few months will be very eclectic, with colours inspired by the silver screen, vintage inspirations and elements from the Nineties.
The timeless smokey eye returns to deep black, after seasons with hues of gray and brown: just like during the grunge era, it has imperfect shades and it’s artfully smudged. If you’re looking for a more chic and sophisticated effect, use plum instead of black.

From the gilded age of Hollywood, mint green and light green are coming back this year: the look is inspired by the stage makeup, with a colour block all over the eyelid, in a matte finish. Blue and sky-blue will be in style as well, with a vintage flair and a matte finish.

For the lips, 2025 brings to the fore nude tones, carefully chosen to suit each person. These natural shades are bright and velvety, with warm or cold undertones depending on the complexion.
Looks with natural colours and sparkling finishes are back, in pink or orange tones, while the popular lip combo remains in style, with dark pencils perfectly lining the contour of the lips, in every colour.
A Nineties favourite is back in vogue: the overlining technique, along with other solutions to make lips plumper and more pronounced. Judging by social media, maybe the season of fillers is coming to an end, but these looks remain very popular.
Moonlight on the skin
Glow and shimmery effects on the face are still going strong, but with some changes. The skin will no longer be sun-kissed, because 2025 is the year of moonlight: on the catwalks we’ve seen looks with highlighter sculpting in cool, almost silvery tones.
