For the private label pencils we produce at our facility we use Californian cedarwood from responsibly managed forests. Cedarwood is suitable for cosmetic use, easy to work with, and offers endless customisation options, thanks to the printing technologies of our finishing department.

With wood, we have a renewable and sustainable raw material that meets all the requirements of our industry. It comes from nature and returns to nature at the end of its lifecycle, without leaving behind waste that is harmful to the ecosystem. For many years now, we've held a PEFC certification for the chain of custody of forest-based products. This means the wood used for our private label cosmetic pencils is traceable at every stage, from its origin to final processing.

The Californian cedar we use at Confalonieri comes from responsibly managed forests, complying at every step with the strict PEFC standards. These include detailed plans to prevent deforestation and protect ecosystems.

Starting next year, we’ll also provide GPS coordinates of the specific plot of land where each batch of wood originates, offering even more detailed and transparent information, in line with new European regulations.

We are very proud of our PEFC certification: obtaining and maintaining it over time reflects our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility.
