Combo, ombré or soft colours? All the shades of summer on your lips

A natural effect or a defined contour, lots of different shades, matte or glossy finish: summer looks for the lips in 2024 show different trends, each with a distinct personality. On social media you’ll find countless “how to” videos, but how should we choose the most suitable products? Let’s see some solutions using Confalonieri lip pencils… and products from other lines, because our textures are safe for all-over use!

Lip combo

A lip liner pencil to draw the contour, a glossy finish on the lips: the “lip combo” look can be seen in an infinite number of different shades, from natural hues to intense colours. The main point here is contouring the lips with a sharp pencil, resistant and smudge-proof, then we can apply a lip balm or a gloss to achieve a shiny and plumped effect.

Natural effect

Natural lips are definitely in style this summer: the look is created with soft colours, in natural or warm hues, applied without lip liner, creating an almost “blurred” effect. This look debuted on the catwalks of a couple of iconic brands and it’s become one of the must-haves for the summer, often combined with a soft makeup on the eyes.

The first rule is clear: no lip liner. You should apply and blend the colour carefully, but without marking the contour of the lips. Ombré lips

A darker lip liner with intense colour, a lighter and brighter central colour with a smooth gradient: ombré lips are one of the most popular trends of summer, since you can create it with virtually every colour combination.
