Summer in colour and lines: makeup ideas for 2026

The “clean girl” aesthetic will probably never go out of style, with its nude shades and natural-looking finishes, but for summer 2026 vivid colours and defined lines are set to take centre stage. Here are a few look ideas inspired by the Spring/Summer 2026 trends… but don’t forget that personal creativity is the most important trend of all.

Graphic lines and bright colours

In the age of social media, makeup trends go viral very quickly and then disappear in a short time, but one seems destined to stay in the spotlight a little longer: Matcha eye makeup. The key point is the shade of green, while the trend itself can be interpreted in many different ways, from bold, clean lines to blended colour across the entire eyelid, enhanced with glitter or pearlescent finishes.

The Nineties, without the nostalgia effect

Long live the Nineties, with a contemporary twist. For summer 2026, makeup draws inspiration from past styles and references, but without a “nostalgia effect”; it’s an influence, more than a comeback. For the eyes, we will see smokey eyes with softer blending than the original grunge look, in brown or grey rather than black, alongside shimmering finishes that lean more pearlescent than glittery, often in metallic shades like those featured in the Ossidiana line.

Glossy lips and hydration

For lips, summer 2026 is all about sheer finishes and gloss, with a light touch. Shades range from nudes and warm tones to rich reds, always with a glossy finish: the gel effect of Jelly and the vibrant shades of Island Kiss are perfect for this mood.
