Autumn looks… with summery flavours

What’s the mood for autumn makeup? While we wait to see which ideas will go viral on social media, we can look at the catwalks for the autumn-winter collections to get a good preview of trends and must-have effects. Think bright and pastel colours, glossy finishes and lips taking center stage. With the seasonal switch just around the corner, here are a few ideas worth noting down for the weeks ahead.

“Doll eyes” and pastel tones

Good news for those who love pastel eye makeup: the soft blues, pinks and pale greens that defined this summer are still very much in the spotlight for autumn and winter. On the runways they appeared in soft, blended looks or with a “doll eyes” effect, with colour applied evenly across the eyelid, just like vintage dolls. The pale blues and pinks of Chromatica are great for both ideas, while Gioia’s texture works perfectly for softer shades.

If you’re not a fan of the traditional autumnal hues, this season you’ll have plenty of freedom. Bluish grey and purple looks featured heavily on the catwalks, along with vivid colours like emerald green or bright yellow. Lips with full gloss

For the next season glossy lips are having a moment, especially with sheer, natural tones. Lip liners are a great ally to create the right amount of volume and keep the look flawless, since they help define the lip shape. An even base, made with a nude lip pencil, makes the glossy effect last longer and look smoother. Linea liners and Gioia lip pencils are excellent options for this effect, and a carefully matched base made with Nuda will work beautifully under your favourite gloss.
